MG Developer breaks ground on Hialeah apartments

MG Developer broke ground on the 10-story, $140 million Metro Parc apartments in Hialeah.

The Miami-based developer, led by CEO Alirio Torrealba, will build 560 apartments on the 3.26-acre site at 955 East 24th St. and 980 East 26th St. It’s located a block west of the Tri-Rail/Metrorail Transfer Station, where the two mass transit systems intersect.

Units will range from 500-square-foot studios to 1,000 square feet with two bedrooms. Amenities will include coworking space, a summer kitchen, a pool, and a gym. There will also be some ground-floor retail space.

“We are truly excited about moving into the Hialeah market and sharing our expertise of building luxury and high standard of living and lifestyle into a growing city,” Torrealba said.

New York-based Baron Property Group, led by Matthew Baron, is partnering with MG Developer in this project. It was designed by Miami-based Modis Architects. West Palm Beach-based Kast Construction is the general contractor. It’s expected to be completed by 2024.

The developer acquired the property for a combined $10.86 million in May and June.
