Located in Miami-Dade County’s Traditional Neighborhood Development District, Max’s Landing was designed to deliver an exceptional affordable living experience. Its architecture adhered to the county’s development design standards focusing on adapting urban conventions, while complementing the existing neighboring master-planned community. The result is a development that serves both its residents and the local community.

Max’s Landing’s floor and site plan efficiencies were curated to allow it to accommodate 76 residential units, 11,388 square feet of retail space, private open green space and surface parking – all in the 2.71-acre parcel.

The irregularly shaped site presented other challenges. The developer had to ensure the retail component had access to Kendall Drive and allowed for tenant and patron parking. 

The ground-floor retail space provides residents with both amenities and potential jobs. And the development is located near a Publix, West Kendall Baptist Hospital, Sedano’s, TownPlace Suites by Marriott, LA Fitness and other shopping, dining and entertainment establishments. 

The architecture was inspired by a combination of styles including classical, French colonial, Spanish colonial, and 20th century California and Florida influences. The development incorporated open-air colonnades, storefront windows, decorative pavers, multistory porches and balconies, stone veneer, roof tile blends, sliding glass-door systems and canvas awnings. Eco-friendly components include flooring, programmable thermostats, and Energy Star-rated windows and appliances. The community has received National Green Building Standard certification.
