THE KAVISTA

The Kavista is an 8-story building mid-rise development in the Urban District of the Village of El Portal between Miami Shores and Little River neighborhood. It will offer 282 market-rate units, and ground floor live-work units. The project’s interior design was inspired by local Native American lifeways and culture while celebrating early Miami-Dade history. It pays tribute to the Tequesta Tribe, who built many villages at the mouth of the Miami River and along the coastal islands including what is today the Village of El Portal. Kavista is the first midrise multifamily project in the newly approved Urban District, it is set to lead the transformation of this forgotten area of the village. The building was designed to accommodate 300 parking spaces, and it will offer a pool courtyard, co-working lounge, a conference room, a theater and a gym, distributed within the 1.89 acres property.
